What is Kangen® Water?

Simply put, it is ionized alkaline and acidic waters created by electrolysis.
Kangen® water is a source of ultimate hydration for your body while creating a positive alkaline environment. Since disease cannot survive in an alkaline environment, Kangen® water helps keep you healthy while also keeping you hydrated.
Kangen® water produced by Enagic® water ionizing machines retain the minerals calcium, sodium, potassium, and magnesium that are usually stripped away by processes like reverse osmosis and distillation. These helpful minerals provide your body with the healthy boost and help you maintain optional performance in your body.
Kangen® water is slightly alkaline, with a pH level of 8.5 to 9.5. We need it, but we fall short.
Everyone knows that we need water to survive. In a 2013 CBS article, studies reported that
up to 75 percent of the American population falls short of the 10 daily cups prescribed

Understanding the pH scale and Kangen® Water's many uses
Acids, alkalis and neutral solutions
The chemical properties of many solutions enable them to be divided into three categories – acids, alkalis and neutral solutions. The strength of the acidity or alkalinity is expressed by the pH scale. The term “pH” stands for “Potential Hydrogen,” and the pH scale measures the level of hydrogen in a substance. Proper body pH is essential for good health.
- Solutions with a pH of 7 are
neutral .
- Solutions with a pH greater than 7 are
alkaline . The higher the pH, the stronger the alkali.
- Solutions with a pH less than 7 are
acidic . The lower the pH, the stronger the acid.
Kangen® water pH levels and respective uses
11.0 — Not for drinking. Strong Kangen® Water preserves hygiene in your daily life due to its strong cleaning effect. It has dissolving and heat conducting benefits. Usage: food preparation and cleaning.
8.5 to 9.5 — This type of water is perfect for drinking and healthy cooking.This electrolytically-reduced, hydrogen-rich water works to restore your body to a more alkaline state, which is optimal for good health. Usage: drinking, food preparation, coffee and tea, soups and stews, and watering plants.
7.0 — Free of chlorine, rust and cloudiness.Neutral water is delicious drinking water. Usage: preparing baby food, taking medication.
4.0 to 6.0 — Not for drinking.This slightly acidic water is recognized for its astringent effects. It's terrific to use for gentle cleaning and beauty care. Usage: face wash, hair care, pet care, polishing, cleaning, and preserving frozen food.
2.7 — Not for drinking.This water has disinfecting properties. Use Strong Acidic Water to sanitize kitchen utensils, countertops, and more to prevent cross-contamination. Usages: cleaning and disinfecting, hygiene (washing hands), and commercial operation.
