Motivational Monday: How will YOUR life review look?
(Posted on March 15, 2021)

"As my body lay dead on that stretcher, I was reliving every moment of my life, including my emotions, attitude and motivations. The depth of emotion I experienced during this life review was astonishing. Not only could I feel the way both I and the other person had felt when an incident took place, I could also feel the feelings of the next person they reacted to. I was in a chain reaction of emotion, one that showed how deeply we affect one another."
--Dannion Brinkley
For those of you that have never heard of him, Dannion Brinkley was 25 years old in 1975 when he was struck by a bolt of lightening when on the phone with his friend. When 180,000 volts of electricity hits you, you die
. Or not so, in his case. Actually, he did die, he was pronounced dead, and remained so for 28 minutes. During that time he was then able to tell an incredible experience he had " on the other side".
Now I realize that I might be touching on a subject here that will be a little sensitive to some. I encourage you to keep an open mind. I read a lot. I read everyday. I read Dannion Brinkely's book many years ago, and several times since. Out of any book I have ever read, this one affected me the most profoundly. Why? Because if what Mr. Brinkley was saying was true, than every single action of our lives is important. Every single action has a re-action. It made me consider what type of life review I wanted to have.
In short, I encourage you to read the book "Saved by the Light" or watch the movie of the same name. After Mr. Brinkley "died" he encountered a life review which in his words was a "chain reaction of emotion
". He wasn't a good guy. As a matter of fact, according to him he was a pretty hardcore, nasty person. When he encountered his life review, however, he was put in a situation where he was experiencing profound emotions from the other person's point of view; and then he experienced the ripple affect of what every person that had been affected by his act had felt. He described it as "hell".
I believe it was. His decision when he returned was to live a life that he would love to feel all over again.
Would you love to feel the life you're living all over again, and from the point of view of the people you have interreacted with?
Would your life review be heaven or hell?
Mr. Brinkley decided his next review was going to be one of service and love! After reading his book, I know that I looked at every event in my life differently. " Do unto others as you would have done unto you."
It's even more profound when you think of it this way.
What type of legacy are you creating for your life review? Are you living a life of integrity? Are you living a life of service? Are you living a life of love?
This week think about what type of life review you would have if you were to leave this life right now. We can't undo the past, however, from today forward, we can begin to create a life that we will be proud to call our own!
CREATE AN AMAZING WEEK!
“You are a great, mighty and powerful spiritual being with dignity, direction and purpose.”
