Motivational Monday: We are always learning
(Originally posted on September 23, 2019)

I've always been under the impression that I can learn everything I need to know " all by myself!"
If I want to learn how to do something—or if I want to learn more about a certain subject— if I read and study then I can figure it out
! And, you know what? Most of the time I can do this. This way of thinking has served me well in most areas of my life.
I do think that all of us—to some degree or another—are trying to grow, mature, and figure out who we are in this life. We can read, study, focus, meditate, pray...whatever it is we do. However, there are usually some aspects of our lives where guidance from another individual—usually one who has been where we are—is the best navigation tool.
I knew someone who once told me that he couldn't see how he could possibly learn something from someone that " didn't have it perfect themselves."
For a time, I subscribed to this belief myself. How could you teach me something when you yourself are still working on it
? Sounds logical, but is it really?
If this were truth then that would mean no one could ever be a teacher. We're all human, we're all flawed, we all fall into old habits from time to time. We pass on the knowledge that we have amassed up to this point in our lives; it is part of our
learning process. It's part of how we grow, mature, and add to our bank of knowledge and experience. They say that the best way to LEARN is to TEACH!
For those of you who are new to the Nutrition Response Testing program, you've heard us say that none of us are perfect and that we're teaching you from what we've discovered to work. This doesn't mean we're not human from time to time— it means we consciously make choices
with the knowledge of what that choice will do to us. We've worked very hard at learning what works and what doesn't. Regardless, we are human beings; flawed, imperfect, and occasionally we make poor choices. And, you know what? That's ok!
Think about the areas of your life in which you are most able to help or teach another. It's usually because you lived it. You know what they are experiencing and that gives you first-hand knowledge on how to deal with it. It gives you tools that you can share with another to help them navigate this time of their life. Each time you falter, another tool has been added to your arsenal and you are able to teach another experience, or another level of an experience. It's a process. What is coming to you to teach to another is something you still need to learn.
If we think of life as a road or a journey, and that we are each at different places on that road. We have each brought with us certain experiences and we are each still working at learning certain things. No matter what part of the road we are on, we always have the ability to teach another that is any place along that road. We are either teaching them from experience or reminding them of where they once were. Either way, we are the teacher... and
the student!
Keep learning, keep experiencing, and keep sharing! If we are all connected, then one person's success is everyone's success!
EXCERPT FROM "CONVERSATIONS WITH GOD" Book 3: NEALE DONALD WALSCH
"I am, in short, keenly aware that I am not worthy to represent myself as a man of God or a messenger of truth. I should be the last person to assume such a role, or to even presume to. I do an injustice to the truth by presuming to speak it, when my whole life has been a testimony to my weaknesses."
Everything that has happened in your life has happened perfectly in order for you— and all the souls involved with you—to grow in exactly the way you've needed and wanted to grow
.
Sincerely,
