Motivational Monday: Who are you?
(Originally posted on February 24, 2019)

It's Monday again! How are you feeling? How are you starting this week?
Our mindset in any given situation is what is going to make or break our day, our week, our month, or our life. Sure there are external situations that temporarily change our normal outlooks, but how you ultimately decide to react to these situations is completely within your control.
We often don’t even realize that we are standing in our own way.
I know that I am guilty of this at times. I will let current, or even past events, define who I am and what I can do or not do. These beliefs limit me and keep me from reaching my true goals. Until, that is, I acknowledge them, recognize the gift in those events, and change the dialogue around it.
Think back on a time of your life that you felt was life altering. What about it affected you so profoundly that you are still holding on to it?
Why are you still letting it affect you? Now take that same event and list out all the positive things that happened because of that incident. You might have to really sit and think on this, and that's ok. Remember: in every single event in life there is always a positive side.
Sometimes we have to reach to find it, and sometimes it's not there immediately— regardless, it is always there
. The challenge for us is to find it and to acknowledge it.
Only when we see the positive can we rewrite the story we are telling. We are leading this life. We have the ability to use everything to our advantage or to our detriment. It's up to us! YOU
are totally and completely up to YOU!
I challenge you this week to pull out those journals! (A regular notebook will work. This is your story.) Everyday, no matter how the day went, write down every single positive thing that happened that day. Even if it was a "negative" event, write a story around it that is uplifting and positive. Take this week to see how creative you can be at rewriting the challenges in your life. Go within and remember all the gifts and talents you have.
The week, make it a daily practice to celebrate the divine beings that we are, rather than focusing on what we think we are lacking.
Let’s embrace our uniqueness and let life show us what we are meant to do during our time here. It might not be what you expect, so stay open to the signs.
Wishing you a magical week! May it be a week where you begin to see your true power and you begin to write yourself a new story!
