If Tomorrow Never Comes...
February 28th, 2022

12,775 DAYS
What could you do if you had that many days at your disposal? That's approximately 306,600 hours. What would you do? Where would you start?
That's ALOT
of time. Something we never seem to have enough of. I don't know about you but I'm always wishing I had more time. More time to get things done. More time to travel. More time to enjoy the moments of life.
More time.
There is just never enough.
12,775 days is 35 years. Now that seems like alot of time. But, if I look back on being 35, I didn't really think I accomplished all that much with all the time I'd been granted. I'd been married for several years by that point, I had a young child, and a job I loved. For all intents and purposes things were looking pretty good.
And, really they were. 35 years rolled around in no time. I didn't really value the moments. I allowed, at times, anger and petty differences to disrupt the moments I was gifted. I left things unsaid. I didn't always act on my intuition. There were moments I was frustrated and overwhelmed. I was grateful, always, for what I was gifted, but sometimes I think I took life for granted.
Tomorrow was another day.
8,395 more days. Older now. Wiser now. Time has changed things, and changed the person I am. Now I am more grateful. Now I value moments. I rarely let petty differences disrupt the moment. As a matter of fact, most times I'll make a conscious effort to not allow that into the moment. I value time. I value relationships. I respect time much more than I used to
You see so far I've been granted 21,170 days here on this earth. The more days I gain, the more I realize the value of each of them. The more I realize that I should never let anything go unsaid. The more I act on my intuition. The more I laugh and the more I have fun.
The date of my expiration is unknown
. It could be in one day, in 365 days or in 3,650 days. Whatever it is, I plan on making the most of them and never wasting one moment doing anything that does not bring me great joy.
What have you done with the hours and days that have been granted to you? Are you making the most of your gift? Are you giving and loving unselfishly? Do those you love know how you feel? Do those you respect know how you feel?
What if tomorrow never comes?
Live today like tomorrow may not come. It might just change the value of this moment for you.
“If tomorrow never comes, make sure you're satisfied with how today ended.”
