Motivational Monday: Would You Go Back?
(Posted on April 5th, 2021)

Time Travel!!!!
Isn't that the most intriguing of possibilities?
If we were able to travel back to the past and change events, change outcomes
, wouldn't that be amazing? We could right wrongs, change the course of history --- even change those outrageous hair styles we had in our yearly school pictures!
Wow --- now that would be amazing. 😉
Or would it?
There is a television series called 11.22.63. It's about a man who discovers a wormhole and travels back in time two years prior to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. He goes back in time to stop that event from happening
. In this show he's able to see the result of making that change, and what it did for society as a whole. I'll let you watch it and find out for yourself.
Have you ever considered the possibility in your own life?
I'm pretty sure that there is absolutely no one on the planet that doesn't
have one event in their life that they would like to change. I am also quite sure that everyone believes by making that " one simple change
" their world would be different --- undoubtedly --- better.
But let's really think about that. What could the implications of this sort of technology be?
This thought came to me because of some training I've been doing. Would changing the past alter the future in a positive way?
Most likely, in certain ways it would improve things. Hindsight, after all, is always the clearest vision. But with every positive change we make, it is also likely, even probable
, that there would be some fallout, or some changes we really do not like. What if it weren't the "event itself" that was holding us back, but our perception surrounding the event
? What if there was a way to access that event, change our perception about it
, and ultimately change the way we view the outcome.
There is!
It is the power of our mind. In many instances, we have connected the dots in our mind to one particular event being the " problem
" in our life. Do you have a moment that sticks out in your mind as if it happened yesterday? Sit with that moment and really analyze it. What would you do differently?
What would the outcome be if you had done it differently? Feel the emotions you feel about that event and where in your body you feel it. You will likely be surprised at the way you feel if you really sit and concentrate.
Make a list of every good thing that came out of this event. Trust me --- something good always does, even in the worst of situations.
When you can begin to shift your mind away from seeing an event as awful, painful, hurtful ( whatever it is for you
), you can also begin to release your attachment to that moment and how it is affecting your current place in life.
We're here to learn, to grow, to experience! It's all good --- every unbelievable, beautiful, crazy, happy or sad moment! It is all good --- all beneficial --- and all in perfect order!!!!
Don't dwell in the past --- live
in the now!
