What Defines You?
Published: September 20, 2021

Ugh, the world is chaotic. It's stressful. There's fear, anger, hatred, fighting...
OR...
The world is a beautiful, loving, and happy place!
What's your take?
We spend a lot of our time looking at the outside world and seeing chaos and disorder. It's there, no doubt.
What once seemed like a secure life, no longer has that security. It's downright scary!
BUT
, how are we ever going to change things if our focus is always on the chaos and the disorder?
We talked about fear and its manifestation in our bodies last week. I hope that you were able to re-frame some of your thought patterns this week and try to view situations differently. It's hard. It's a daily struggle to attempt to keep ourselves in this place of peace.
How can we ever see peace in the external
world if there is no peace in "our internal"
world? You see, we are not able to bring out into the physical world what we do not have to offer.
Peace and love start in your heart. Only once it is firmly entrenched there, can it begin to manifest in the external.
People that have the ability to manifest peace in their internal world are no different than you and me. I guarantee they still have the chattering thoughts and troubled emotions that we have. They have learned however, not to put all their energy into those feelings and emotions, but rather to put their energy into love and peace. We all have the ability to channel our feeling into positive --- or negative. It's a choice.
It's first understanding what we are doing, and then choosing to do differently.
What are some tools you can use to change your internal state?
Shut off the news. Focus on making your part of the world the best it can be.
Remove negative and toxic people from your life, or limit your exposure if you cannot remove them.
Pay attention to how you speak. Are you using negative words when you talk? How do you talk to your family, your children, your pets --- and yourself? What words do you choose to describe your life or the people in it --- including yourself.
Remember that even when you are joking around, if you are choosing words with negative connotations, you are inadvertently putting negativity out into the environment. It starts internally --- change your talk --- your view --- your level of internal peace and watch how we turn this all around.
Together we are strong, we have the tools, let's put them into full force this week. If you hear someone (or yourself) use a negative connotation in reference to anything, immediately re-phrase it to a positive. Spread kindness, love and goodness everywhere.
Let's help the world by finding our internal peace!
